Even the bottom of the glasses have a pretty design. Here is a look down through the top.
We went to one other thrift store and then to Hobby Lobby. The gel wax was more than I wanted to pay so decided on granulated wax instead. Mom helped me pick out the colors for pretty spring color combination.
On Monday, I washed up all the glasses and dried them and glued wicks into the bottoms of them. When the glue had dried a bit, I sat down with my glasses and wax and got creative. To pour the wax I used a coffee measuring scoop. It was just the right size and has a nice, long handle.
I made four of these candles in different designs and then saved the other two glasses for a craft I want to make later. We still had the other candle glass too, so I made a candle for ourselves with that. That's the one with the striped design. What fun it was to pour in the wax in different ways and make some neat designs! There are lots of possibilities with these pretty colors. (Note: the color that shows up blue is supposed to be purple. It just showed up blue in the picture.)
And that's it for this time. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed your visit!
