Not long ago, I made some crazy crayons and gave them to someone for their little girls. One lady who saw them has expressed interest in them, so I told her I'd make her some for her little boy. There was some yellow yarn left over, so thought it might be fun to make a carrying case to go with them. Hopefully it looks OK for a little boy. It surely was enjoyable to make. The ribbed effect is produced by alternating front post half double crochet with back post half double crochet. This makes the bag feel softer and thicker and gives it a nice texture.
There was still yellow yarn left, so I made an even smaller bag with it. The smaller bag would be good for a party favor bag and has a gold ribbon on it. (Sorry no picture) Both were easy and short projects. The party favor bag is not ribbed but was made by alternating single crochet with half double crochet to give it a pretty texture.
