Don’t you love it when you can get something for less than a dollar? God has often used coupons and other deals to help meet our needs. Here are some items we were able to get this week.
These were purchased at CVS using Extra Care Bucks and coupons. The final cost, for enough detergent to do 64 loads of laundry, was 79 cents, including tax. To learn more about how to shop and get inexpensive or even free items at CVS, take a look at this tutorial at the deal scoop. These special savings deals have been a great help to us in being able to manage the money the Lord has given us and also stick to a budget.
Another thing we were able to get this week was notebooks. Right now Office Max is having back to school sales, and each week certain items are on sale for 1 cent. Each customer is allowed to get a certain number of each item for a penny. Yesterday, Christy and I got 10 single subject, 70 page notebooks, for 10 cents. Other weeks we have been able to get rulers and crayons and other small school or office items for a penny each. Even if you do not use these items yourself, this is a great way to get gifts or help stock the Sunday School supply closet or Missionary Closet.
If you like, you can get Office Max's ad sent to your inbox each week so that you can preview what they will have on sale the next week. Just put your email address in the little box at the top of the page where it says "Email Sign Up." The following week's ad usually comes on Friday. For example, the ad for next week would come to your email this week on Friday. This is a great help for planning a shopping list.
Have fun catching deals! :-)
