Just a few short weeks back my favorite store where I get my discount yarn closed. The black yarn used in this shawl and scarf were purchased there. The stitch I used is my own creation, and I called it crown stitch because it looks like a crown when seen up close.
This black yarn is soft, stretchy, warm, and surprisingly easy to work with. Here is a picture of the shawl.
These fun and pretty headbands were my main project this week. I learned the stitch for these from this youtube tutorial (video is in Spanish). The stitch is called "fantasy stitch" and is very easy. Now I'm using the stitch to make a baby blanket. It's a simple stitch but very pretty. The headbands I made range in size from 13 inches to 18 inches. These are available, and you can find them and their prices on the Product Galleries page.
Here are a few pictures.
Thanks for stopping by and reading! Have a great week!
