Jesus loves you!
This week I finished another new crochet project - a lap blanket. Am hoping to send it to Mom for Mother's Day. Colors used were soft navy and delft blue. (Not sure what "delft" means. :-) ) Stitch used was cupcake stitch. It is a pretty stitch but quite simple. Below are a few pictures. For the border, I kind of just made a soft wave, nothing fancy. First I did two rows of half double crochet. For the third row, I did 3 single crochet, 3 double crochet, 3 single crochet, 3 double crochet all the way around the blanket.
The stitches do look somewhat like cupcakes, and Christy also thought they looked a bit like crowns. This youtube video shows how to make the cupcake stitch.
