I have really enjoyed making different styles of small crochet bags. A couple of these are for orders. Others are to give away or send to Mom to use for her students. Here are a few of the ones I've tried recently. The flower on the brown and light blue bag is the kind I learned to make from the video mentioned in the previous post.
Today I gave this flower a try. It is pretty with its unique petals. It is also very easy to make. You will have to know at least a little bit of Spanish to follow the video. There are captions, but I think they are in Portuguese.
All Free Crochet is having an exciting give-away.
The deadline to enter is tomorrow (December 8) so don't delay!
There are all kinds of wonderful items in this give-away, called Red Heart Dream Crochet Giveaway. Here is what All Free Crochet has to say about it in their youtube video.
Even if you can't use everything, you can give some to friends and family! So why not head on over and enter today!
Here are a few of my latest projects.
The purple bag was my first order - from a friend
The pink and white bag is to send to one of Mom's students.
The candy cane stripes bag is also for an order; but I'm not quite happy with the handle so might do another one.
Making this black vest was a challenge but fun. Mostly it turned out OK. In the picture it is hard to see the flower, but you can just see it on the left side of the vest. The flower added just the right touch to the plain vest. The buttons on the vest are black, not gray; they just look gray because of the flash. One thing I didn't like about how it turned out was that it turns up a little at the edge on the bottom right. How do I keep the edges from turning up?
The easiest of my recent projects was this cozy cowl poncho. I made it using this pattern as a guide. Instead of the yarn suggested, I just used two strands of worsted weight yarn and made my rectangle 25" by 50". Then I "assembled" it according to their instructions and then made the cowl part. This cowl poncho is so warm! and cozy! But it also very bulky, so it will be saved for the coldest days.
