Yesterday, I saw a cute idea that showed how to make snakes from pipe cleaners and beads. Well, I didn't end up making snakes, but I made a few bracelets using the same idea. They came out OK.
Whew! It has been a long time since I updated. I really want to change things around so that this is a craft blog rather than a blog for crochet and for selling things. A few things will remain for sale on the Joyful Hearts Shop page. I'm not really sure how to go about doing this, so please pray for wisdom for me. Yesterday, I saw a cute idea that showed how to make snakes from pipe cleaners and beads. Well, I didn't end up making snakes, but I made a few bracelets using the same idea. They came out OK. Another project yesterday was to put the finishing touches on a bead project for the fair -- that is, this yummy looking, swirly, multi-colored lollipop. The beads I put directly on the glass, using ModPodge as the adhesive. After the ModPodge dried, I put on a second coat and then a coat of clear sparkle paint to bring out the colors. WalMart had some really pretty silver paper, so I used some of that to put behind the glass and help bring the colors out more. Anybody want a taste?
