To one and all! Thank you so much for visiting our site today. We pray you are blessed and encouraged by what you see here.
God is so good to allow us to have an online store, and we are delighted to launch it on New Year’s Day.
I Kings 8:66 says, “On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.”
So ends the chapter describing the dedication of the temple. Solomon had gathered all Israel together before the Lord to rejoice in what the Lord had done. At the beginning of His prayer of dedication, Solomon implored the Lord, “Will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded? 28Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day: 29That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place. 30And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.” (vs. 27-30)
Just as the children of Israel needed the Lord’s mercy and the Lord’s blessing on their house of worship, we pray for the Lord’s mercy and the Lord’s blessing on our labors and business. We are God’s children. His name is written on our hearts. And we ask God to hear our prayers and bless us. And when we do wrong, we ask that God will grant us His forgiveness. This business endeavor is God’s business, and we pray that He will guide us to do it His way.
Near the end of the dedication, Solomon implored the children of Israel, “61Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. 62And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD.” (vs. 61,62) We also offer our sacrifice of thanks to God and ask His help that we might have perfect hearts before the Lord our God. Solomon asked that God would hear his prayer, for Solomon’s desire was “That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.” (v.60)
We pray that our lives, our conduct, and our business practices will honor God and cause men’s hearts to be turned toward the Lord Jesus. We pray that through our businesses, many around the world will know “that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.” We pray God will use this business to glorify His name, reach the lost, and encourage other believers. And we pray that when all is said and done that we will also be “joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD” has “done.” For, when we do right and please God, He makes us joyful and glad of heart.
And may God make you joyful and glad of heart today as well. God bless. Have a wonderful, joyful new year.
