This is my latest baby blanket. I tried a new stitch pattern this time but was not happy at all with how the edges turned out. I do like the neat design the stitch pattern makes though. Maybe a little more practice will make better. :-) Will have to do a little work to try to fix up the edges before I give the blanket away.
This is the result of my second attempt at crocheting a baby dress. For the first attempt, I followed this youtube video. It looked simple but did not come out right. So, on the second attempt, I followed the video a bit for a guide, but made some adjustments and added a few of my own ideas. This one looked much better. The buttons for it I got at a nearby store called Sandy's Country Christmas. You can't see them very well in the picture, but the buttons are blue and have smiley faces on them.
This was a fun baby blanket to make. I don't know what kind of yarn this was because I got it at a local store called The Rag Bag. They have different types of yarn at different times, and the yarn is not labeled. The yarn used to make this blanket was soft and slightly stretchy. It was hard doing the first two rows but easy to work with after the first two rows were done. The blanket felt so cuddly, I wanted to keep it for myself. I think it is just a tad too small. :-)
